About future of cities

Please note: this blog is no longer being updated. To stay up to date with Foresight's work, visit our GOV.UK page or follow our new Projects blog.

We live in a world that is rapidly urbanising and reurbanising. In the next 50 years, populations will grow, and the number of people in UK cities is predicted to increase.

This blog provided the latest news, information and analysis from the Foresight Future of Cities project, which looked at the opportunities and challenges that cities will face over the coming decades.

The Future of Cities project has now concluded. Read our final post.
